About Farm Ed

Farm Ed, established in 2019, is a private Further Education and Training provider committed to delivering QQI-validated, quality-assured programmes tailored for the agricultural sector. We offer the Level 5 Certificate in Agriculture (QQI 5M20454) and Level 6 Certificate in Farming (QQI 6S20487). The combined Awards are commonly know as "The Green Cert."

Aoife Dunne

Business Development Manager

Aoife is a dynamic Business Development Manager and Coach with extensive leadership experience in organisational management, strategic growth, and people development. She has a proven track record of driving organisational success through stakeholder collaboration, strategic thinking, and strong communication. Aoife has held key roles at Farm Ed, Velocity Growth, and University College Cork. She holds multiple qualifications, including a PG Diploma in Coaching and certifications in Business & Executive Coaching and Strategy.

Kate Johnston

Kate Johnston

Programme & Office Administrator

Kate is a native of Cahir, Co. Tipperary, where farming runs in her family for over two generations. Kate brings 15 years of experience in customer service, training, and administration to the Farm Ed team. along with a QQI Train the Trainer qualification. Outside of work, Kate enjoys crafting, singing, and serve as Chairperson of the local farmers’ market.

Programme & Tutor Co-Ordinator

Eilish is a skilled Office Administrator and Activities Manager with several years of office administrative experience. She has a background in human resources, administration, and team leadership, and has completed a Diploma in Human Resources Management from UCD. Eilish excels in staff management, budgeting, and compliance with regulatory standards.

Exam Co-Ordinator & Learner Support

Carol is an experienced Office Administrator with a diverse professional background. She previously ran her own beauty salon and later spent three years in Canada working in administrative roles. After returning to Ireland, she completed a Life Science Manufacturing Diploma and worked with Ornua before joining the Farm Ed team. Carol also regularly undertakes Continuing Professional Development both in Ireland and internationally.

With a background in Hotel Revenue Management, Leona brings strong strategic thinking and systems awareness. Known for strong organisational skills and the ability to connect people, processes and ideas to support both educational and operational goals.

Laura comes from a farming background, bringing valuable practical experience to her role in farm ed. Laura helps guide students through their practical assessments and farm visits. She is also involved in updating training materials to ensure our course content remains relevant

Receptionist & Office Administrator

Emma comes from a farming background, giving her a strong understanding of the agricultural sector. As part of the Farm Ed administrative team, she supports the smooth delivery of programmes by managing learner applications, assisting students, coordinating daily operations, and maintaining clear communication. She holds a Level 5 Certificate in Business Administration from Cork College FET, Charleville, which supports her ability to manage processes efficiently and professionally, while her blend of practical farming knowledge and administrative expertise enables her to provide well-rounded support to learners and contribute to the seamless running of Farm Ed programmes.

Emma is a skilled office administrator with many years of experience. She has worked in many sectors including finance, recruitment, and social services. She brings a high level of experience and strong organisational skills to the team.
