This part-time QQI Level 5 Certificate in Agriculture (5M20454) and Level 6 Certificate in Farming (6S20487) is delivered twice per week over 9 months. The programme focuses on the development of the key skills critical to a successful career in agriculture. The programme is a mix of theory and practice blended with on-farm practical experience.

- Wednesday Evenings: Online sessions from 6.30pm - 9.30pm
- Saturdays: A mix of online, in-class, and on-farm learning experiences
- Farm Days: 5 mandatory Farm days during the 9 month programme
- Exams: 4 Exam days held on Saturdays

Complete your Green Cert certification in approximately 9 months with multiple intakes available throughout the year. Farmers who have achieved both the Level 5 and Level 6 Programme gain access to significant Revenue and DAFM schemes.

What are the Intake Dates?
Farm Ed has three intake dates per year:
- January
- April
- September
Entry Requirements:
- Aptitude: Applicants must have a motivation to learn, an interest in the subject and the ability to acquire the knowledge, skills and competencies set out in the course.
- Previous Experience: Applicants must be able to demonstrate a broad range of knowledge, skills and competence associated with Level 4 of the NFQ (National Framework of Qualifications) relevant to the course and be able to exercise initiative and independence when carrying out course activities.
- Applicants must hold Category W Learner Driving Permit. (Tractor Licence)
- Applicants will be required to complete an Application Form and take an interview with a member of the Farm Ed team.
How much is the Programme?
The full programme cost is €4,985. There is a non-refundable deposit of €500 to secure your place on the programme, which is deducted from the cost of the full programme.
